Ground Improvements Update - 08/06/2006

Paul Doswell on ground improvements: Reilly Civil Engineering are going to tarmac all grassed areas including a new 5 metre strip where the trees once stood.

Then a new 2.8 metre fence will go down the whole side, with a roof covering a 30 metre area to match the existing stand. This will hopefully be finished in time for the Saints game.

Paul Murray has instructed the go ahead for the all weather pitch and work will begin on this project in mid-July and should be ready for September 30th.

Finally, the stand extension and new lights will follow in the season."

Eastleigh Football Club are delighted to announce Richard Hill as their new first team manager, with immediate effect. Richard will be introduced to the players and staff tomorrow evening and will take charge of his first match on Saturday against Maidenhead. Richard is vastly experienced having managed Stevenage Borough and assisted John Gregory at both Wycombe and QPR, Brian Little at Aston Villa and also fulfilled the same roles at Gillingham, Tranmere Rovers and Northampton Town. It is a new era for the football club and we feel that in appointing Richard we have made the right choice. We are confident that he has all the attributes necessary to ensure the football club continues to develop and move forward in the correct manner.
