Match Report by Jamie Montigue

Eastleigh cruised into the next round of the cup running out 14-nil victors brushing aside Netley Central. Goals coming from Karim Hraiba (4), Brett Williams (4), Zach Glasspool (5) and Lewis Hunt (1).

After having an early chance slip by from Brett Williams, Eastleigh went ahead on 10 minutes. The goal started from a quick throw out from Grant Porter to Phil Cousens, the ball was then worked between Adam Roberts and Zach Glasspool with Taz forcing a corner with the return pass. From it, KARIM HRAIBA smashed the ball home from the edge of the area with a fantastic strike.

Only a minute later a superb delivery from a right wing free kick from Hraiba was nodded home by BRETT WILLIAMS for goal number 2.

Another well worked move involving Martin Thomas and Andy Weston saw BRETT WILLIAMS have a go from way out and his low drive beat the keeper going into the bottom corner. 3-0.
Netley were then caught in possession with ZACH GLASSPOOL stepping in to nick the ball from the centre half leaving himself with just the goalkeeper to beat and he did so to extend Eastleigh's lead to four goals with only 19 minutes played.

Having missed a glorious opportunity moments before, KARIM HRAIBA made up for it by grabbing his second of the game and Eastleigh's fifth. Martin Thomas linked up well with Hraiba who then got on the end of a Glasspool cross with a powerful side foot.

In the 41st minute, HRAIBA completed a hattrick as he latched on to a good through ball from Taz, rounding the keeper and firing into an empty net. Barely a minute later, Eastleigh had scored a seventh. It came from HRAIBA once again, as his scorcher from the edge of the area flew into the roof of the net to give the home side a seven goal lead at the break. Despite all of the goals however, Eastleigh will be disappointed to not have been in double figures for the amount of chances they had.

Half Time - Eastleigh 7-0 Netley

The game was already over with Eastleigh in utter dominance from the first half, and the second 45 was only going to go the same way. Five minutes in, and ZACH GLASSPOOL connected with a Martin Thomas cross that slipped through the gloves of the Netley keeper for number 8.

Four goal Frenchman, Karim Hraiba was then replaced by James Screen in the 56th minute.
BRETT WILLIAMS made it 9-0 with a lovely chip as he raced on to Andy Weston's through ball beating the offside trap and then cooly doing the rest to wrap up his hattrick.

Eastleigh replaced Scott Gilham and Phil Cousens with Macs Sampays and Lewis Hunt shortly after this goal.

The first piece of action for LEWIS HUNT saw him drill the ball low and hard from a free kick with the keeper unable to keep it out, as Eastleigh continued their demolition.

Into the final ten minutes of the game, WILLIAMS scored his fourth and Eastleigh's 11th with James Screen doing all the hard work on the left hand side providing the front man with the simplest of tap ins.

In the last two minutes of the game, ZACH GLASSPOOL added to his tally for the day by scoring three tremendous goals one after the other. His hattrick came in the 89th minute as he despatched Lee O'Connells cross into the net with authority. Next the goal of the game saw Zach beat five players as he went on a mesmerising run. As he got to the edge of the box there was going to be only one outcome and it showed as his sublime strike whistled into the top corner. The rout was well and truly wrapped up with the next attack of the game as Glasspool scored his fifth and Eastleigh's fourteenth.
