More Good News

In addition to the signing confirmed earlier this week, Paul Doswell released the following statement on the clubs messageboard:

"Having spoken to Glen Cockerill at Woking, we are very close to signing KES (Karim El-Salahi), on a 2 year contract."

Doswell went on to unveil his latest signing, "Another piece of really good news is getting Liam George until the end of the season. He currently trains with Luton Town, and comes with Steve Forbes on a Tuesday and Thursday night (to Eastleigh's training)."

Things seem to be on the up at the Silverlake Stadium at present ahead of this weekends eagerly anticipated Derby encounter with Salisbury City. "This now gives us a fit 18 man squad with just Andy Harris and Justin Bennett to return."

HUGHES SIGNS 18 MONTH CONTRACT

Eastleigh legend and midfield maestro David Hughes has committed his future to the Spitfires. Despite great interest from other clubs including Havant and Waterlooville, David put pen to paper at the weekend.

Eastleigh Football Club are delighted to announce Richard Hill as their new first team manager, with immediate effect. Richard will be introduced to the players and staff tomorrow evening and will take charge of his first match on Saturday against Maidenhead. Richard is vastly experienced having managed Stevenage Borough and assisted John Gregory at both Wycombe and QPR, Brian Little at Aston Villa and also fulfilled the same roles at Gillingham, Tranmere Rovers and Northampton Town. It is a new era for the football club and we feel that in appointing Richard we have made the right choice.
