Salisbury lose appeal against demotion

Salisbury City have lost their appeal against a two division demotion and will start the new season in the Southern Premier League.

The Whites broke Football Conference rules because they were unable to pay back a creditor by a set deadline, having come out of administration. 

The decision means Forest Green Rovers will retain their place in the Blue Square Bet Premier.

Weston-super-Mare stay in the Blue Square South.

Eastleigh Football Club are delighted to announce Richard Hill as their new first team manager, with immediate effect. Richard will be introduced to the players and staff tomorrow evening and will take charge of his first match on Saturday against Maidenhead. Richard is vastly experienced having managed Stevenage Borough and assisted John Gregory at both Wycombe and QPR, Brian Little at Aston Villa and also fulfilled the same roles at Gillingham, Tranmere Rovers and Northampton Town.
