New loan signing

Henrik Breimyr, a Norwegian Under 18 International, has today agreed a one month loan from Aldershot Town FC.

Henrik - who made his debut for the Shots at the end of last season, signed a new professional contract earlier in the summer. We hope to complete the formalities in time for Henrik to be available for our home game against Woking tomorrow night (kick off 7.45pm).

Eastleigh FC can also confirm that goalkeeper Mike Green has been released, and (it is understood) has signed for Gloucester City, who play in the Blue Square North.

HENRIK BREIMYR - Player Profile from http://www.theshots.co.uk/

Henrik BreimyrHenrik is a tall, strong Norwegian-born central midfielder, who is the elder brother of Shots youth team midfielder Andreas Breimyr and whose early career saw him play schoolboy football at Fulham and Reading.

During his time at the Madejski Stadium, Henrik worked with then Shots assistant manager Martin Kuhl and it was that connection that, following his release by the Royals, saw him join Aldershot Town's academy in the summer of 2009.

He was a part of the Shots' youth team that beat Havant and Waterlooville to win the Hampshire Midweek Floodlit Cup in 2010 and, after progressing to the reserves, was on the losing side against AFC Totton in the Hampshire Senior Cup final a while later. Having been spotted in an FA Youth Cup tie against AFC Wimbledon, Henrik had a trial at Chelsea's academy in February 2011 and was also the subject of reported interest from West Ham United.

Shortly afterwards, Henrik finished as one of the two runners-up (the other being Aaron Woodley of Oxford United) to Wycombe Wanderers' Kadeem Harris in the 'League Two Apprentice of the Year'.

Towards the end of the 2010-11 season, Henrik received his first call-up to Norway's under-18 squad for the Slovakia Cup (he went on to play in all four games, including the defeat by Denmark in the final) and saw his talents earn him the ultimate prize of a two-year pro contract at the EBB Stadium.
