Dartford v Eastleigh - Match Preview

Match Preview by Kieran James

Ian Baird's Spitfires travel to Dartford at Princes Park on Saturday in search of bouncing back from Saturday's 0-2 defeat at the Silverlake Stadium against Bromley.

The Darts have got off to a flyer this season with double the amount of points of Eastleigh who lie in 16th place with seven points.

However Dartford suffered their first defeat away to Basingstoke last Saturday, losing 3-2 with former Spitfire Shaun McAuley scoring the winner.

The last time these two teams met was at Princes Park where it was a disappointing 0-0. However, the Spitfires did win against The Darts at home at the Silverlake Stadium running out 3-0 winners. Richard Graham, Richard Gillespie and Anthony Riviere all netting for Eastleigh on that occasion.

Eastleigh will still have the likes of Jamie Brown and on-loan Reading left back Frankie Raymond out with a suspension and up to four first team players expected to miss out through injury.

The Spitfires defence will have to be organised to defend the likes of Charlie Sheringham (son of former Tottenham and England star Teddy), who is the Darts' top scorer this season with seven goals (four of which were penalties).

Lets roar on the Spitfires to victory, COME ON YOU SPITFIRES!
