Where are they now? - Part 2

Continuing with the theme of ex-Eastleigh players now in pastures new, a few more have come to light.

Matt Bodkin – Signed for Eastleigh in August 2008 from Grays Athletic then made twenty appearances scoring three goals - the most notable one being the winner against local rivals Havant & Waterlooville in a league fixture. Matt moved on to Grays Athletic again but more recently has been with Thurrock but moved in the summer to Southern League side Margate.

Rocky Baptiste – Also donning the colours early season at Thurrock was striker Rocky Baptiste who made one appearance in a friendly for Eastleigh in 2008. The thirty-eight-year-old striker though has now joined Kingstonian in the Ryman League.

Brett Poate – Having signed for Eastleigh from Havant & Waterlooville in May 2009, Brett made sixty appearances for The Spitfires netting five goals before departing in the summer to join Southern League South & West Division side Gosport Borough.

Fred Toomer – Young goalkeeper Freddie Toomer, who totalled four senior appearances after graduating through the clubs youth set up, has joined Wessex League Premier division Bemerton Heath Harlequins after spending most of last season with their rivals Romsey Town.

Stuart Duff – Twenty-year-old striker released at the end of last season by Crawley Town, played for Eastleigh in their pre-season match with Falkland Islands and scored as a trialist. Stuart has joined Hampton & Richmond Borough.

Daniel Bogard – Striker released by Portsmouth in April 2010, appeared once for the first team in a friendly at A F C Totton. Daniel has joined Blackfield & Langley in the Wessex League after spending a short time in the USA.

Mark Nwokeji – Made five appearances for The Spitfires last season scoring twice during a loan spell from A F C Wimbledon. Mark moved on in the summer to Havant & Waterlooville but having failed to settle at Westleigh Park, Mark has now moved again this time to Staines Town - which is where he started his career before moving on to Dagenham & Redbridge.
