Trailing at the interval, Eastleigh Reserves came back with an improved second half performance to net twice to secure a victory. Ben Chambers and Liam Robinson netting the goals.

Gosport Borough Reserves 0 Eastleigh Reserves 3

Eastleigh Reserves moved up to second place in the Wyvern League replacing Gosport Borough with this victory. After a goalless first half, manager David Hazelgrove withdrew trialist Mike Cornew and Will Harris replacing them with Sam Wilson and Ryan Lewis. The pace of the two youngsters soon had the Gosport rearguard worried.

Wilson picked himself up following a foul to convert a penalty on fifty-seven minutes and from there there was only going to be one outcome. Jordace Holder-Spooner added a second after sixty-nine minutes then a superb individual strike from Lewis on seventy-five completed the scoring.

Gosport had Callum Laycock dismissed in the final minute for a late challenge on Liam Robinson whilst Eastleigh withdrew Wilson for the final ten minutes to ensure the young striker did not pick up any needless injury.

Eastleigh Football Club are delighted to announce Richard Hill as their new first team manager, with immediate effect. Richard will be introduced to the players and staff tomorrow evening and will take charge of his first match on Saturday against Maidenhead. Richard is vastly experienced having managed Stevenage Borough and assisted John Gregory at both Wycombe and QPR, Brian Little at Aston Villa and also fulfilled the same roles at Gillingham, Tranmere Rovers and Northampton Town.
