Malone: I'm not tired of this game yet

EASTLEIGH's out-going director of football Dave Malone says he has not grown tired of the game. 

But having tendered his resignation with immediate effect last week, he is in no hurry to find a new club.

"I won't be doing anything this season," said Malone, who joined the Spitfires in May 2006, two years after masterminding Winchester City's FA Vase triumph at Birmingham.

Malone, who has also been a director at Salisbury and Bashley, intends taking a break for the time being having worked tirelessly for six years to keep Eastleigh on an even keel in the Blue Square Bet South throughout testing financial times.

His parting shot was to introduce Bridle Insurance to the board of directors last October, since when the Oxfordshire based company have become majority shareholders and set their sights on steering Eastleigh into the Football League.

Richard Hill

Eastleigh Football Club are delighted to announce Richard Hill as their new first team manager, with immediate effect. Richard will be introduced to the players and staff tomorrow evening and will take charge of his first match on Saturday against Maidenhead. Richard is vastly experienced having managed Stevenage Borough and assisted John Gregory at both Wycombe and QPR, Brian Little at Aston Villa and also fulfilled the same roles at Gillingham, Tranmere Rovers and Northampton Town.
