From Danny to Dan

Dan Wright
We have great pleasure confirming that Dan Wright will be replacing Danny Smith to head up the Football in the Community and Academy. Dan had been working closely with Danny since arriving at the Silverlake in June 2011 and is a UEFA 'B' licence coach.

Previous to his involvement at Eastleigh Dan worked as a coach with a football coaching company for four years. His role will include working with Dave Hazlegrove, managing our Suburban League team. Dave is an established member of our coaching set up and we are confident that Dan and Dave will prove to be a great partnership.

Joining Dan Wright's coaching team on a part time basis is Steve Stone. The former Portsmouth FC Academy coach holds a UEFA 'A' licence badge and will be our most qualified coach. He is currently employed by the FA in a coaching role in the army and joins Eastleigh FC to coach the Under 18s and U15s Academy team.

These are the first steps in further improving the good work already done by Danny Smith and others, laying the foundations for the future development and retention of young talented players. We intend to implement more positive actions and will communicate these in due course as it will take time to achieve our objectives.

I am sure you will all join us in wishing Dan, Dave and Steve every success.
