Barrow AFC manager Dave Bayliss has been named the Blue Square Bet Premier ‘manager of the month’ for October. The Bluebirds have remained unbeaten during the period including two wins and two draws form their four league games. Bayliss’ side also progressed to the First Round Proper of the FA Cup with a 2-0 home win over fellow BSBP side Tamworth.

In the Blue Square Bet North the ‘manager of the month’ award for October goes to Bradford Park Avenue manager John Deacey. Last season’s Northern Premier play-off winners have made a good start to life back in the division after an absence of 5 seasons. Deacey has taken his side to sixth place in the table with a run which included three league wins and a valuable draw at Chester as well as setting up a weekend Yorkshire derby with Doncaster Rovers in the FA Cup First Round Proper after beating Ossett Albion 4-1.

The Blue Square Bet South ‘manager of the month’ award for October goes to Ian Allinson from Boreham Wood. The former Arsenal player has seen his team keep up their chase for promotion with a month which included seven league points from a possible nine. Their unbeaten run also extended by FA Cup wins at Northwood and Hayes & Yeading United to set up a mouth-watering weekend tie at home to Brentford.

GOAL ACE JAMIE HITS TARGET FOR IMPROVING IMPS

Jamie Taylor from Lincoln City has been named the Blue Square Bet Premier ‘player of the month’ for October. The striker has been instrumental in an upturn in form for David Holdsworth’s side who are now unbeaten in three league matches and remain in the FA Cup. Taylor hit five goals during the period including strikes against title contenders Wrexham and Luton Town. He also salvaged a point for his side with two goals (including a late equaliser) in a 3-3 draw with Stockport County.

In the Blue Square Bet North the ‘player of the month’ for October is Josh Moreman from Corby Town. Moreman helped his side out of the division’s relegation zone with a hat-trick in the 5-0 win over Droylsden in the first week. The striker then helped with a number of assists as well as FA Cup goals in games against Histon and Hendon.

The Blue Square Bet South ‘player of the month’ for October is Louie Theophanous from Staines Town. The striker from AFC Wimbledon has flourished under former Wombles reserve boss Marcus Gayle as they’ve teamed up at Wheatsheaf Park. With seven goals in the last four games for his side, he has seen them surge up the table to occupy a place in the play-off zone.

Eastleigh Football Club are delighted to announce Richard Hill as their new first team manager, with immediate effect. Richard will be introduced to the players and staff tomorrow evening and will take charge of his first match on Saturday against Maidenhead. Richard is vastly experienced having managed Stevenage Borough and assisted John Gregory at both Wycombe and QPR, Brian Little at Aston Villa and also fulfilled the same roles at Gillingham, Tranmere Rovers and Northampton Town.
