Flood extends loan, Flitney recalled by Gillingham

Eastleigh can confirm attacker Chris Flood has extended his loan spell with Maidenhead United for another month. The 22 year old who signed for Eastleigh in November 2011 has impressed Magpies boss Johnson Hippolyte since arriving at York Road last month. Spitfire Manager Richard Hill will continue to monitor his progress.

In other news, goalkeeper Ross Flitney has been recalled by parent club Gillingham with immediate effect.

Eastleigh Football Club are delighted to announce Richard Hill as their new first team manager, with immediate effect. Richard will be introduced to the players and staff tomorrow evening and will take charge of his first match on Saturday against Maidenhead. Richard is vastly experienced having managed Stevenage Borough and assisted John Gregory at both Wycombe and QPR, Brian Little at Aston Villa and also fulfilled the same roles at Gillingham, Tranmere Rovers and Northampton Town.
