Flitney returns to Gillingham

Ross Flitney’s second loan spell at the SIlverlake has expired today and Gillingham have decided to recall the 28 year old goalkeeper.

The former Barnet, Grays and Dover Athletic shot stopper made 8 appearances for the Spitfires including an impressive performance and clean sheet in a victory against Sutton United.

All at the club would like to thank Ross for his contribution and wish him all the very best for the future.

In other news promising youngster David ‘DJ’ Whittaker has returned to the Silverlake following his loan spell at Winchester whilst Joe Chamberlain has extended his agreement with Winchester City for a further month.

Callum Casson has agreed to extend his stint with Didcot Town for a further month having been ever present since his arrival.

Eastleigh Football Club are delighted to announce Richard Hill as their new first team manager, with immediate effect. Richard will be introduced to the players and staff tomorrow evening and will take charge of his first match on Saturday against Maidenhead. Richard is vastly experienced having managed Stevenage Borough and assisted John Gregory at both Wycombe and QPR, Brian Little at Aston Villa and also fulfilled the same roles at Gillingham, Tranmere Rovers and Northampton Town. It is a new era for the football club and we feel that in appointing Richard we have made the right choice.
