Academy Recruiting for 2013/14

Eastleigh Football Club’s Academy has been running for 6 years with the simple aim of helping talented footballers make progress in their sporting careers whilst continuing with their academic studies.

This scheme is aimed at young people aged 16-18, who are looking to combine the provision of football excellence with a full-time education programme.

We are holding open trials on the following dates;

TRIAL DATE 1: Tuesday 19th February ~ TIME: 10.00am - 12.30pm
TRIAL DATE 2: Tuesday 2nd April ~ TIME: 10.00am - 12.30pm
TRIAL DATE 3: Thursday 11th April ~ TIME: 10.00am - 12.30pm
TRIAL DATE 4: Tuesday 28th May ~ TIME: 10.00am - 12.30pm

What is The Football Academy?

The Football Academy is a 2-year, full-time Education and Football Development programme delivered in partnership with Professional and Non-League Football Clubs. Open to talented footballers aged between 16–18 years, the Academy Programme is a must for any football enthusiast. A playing trial will be required as places will be offered based on playing ability.

Why Join the Academy?

Eastleigh Football Club’s Academy has been running for 6 years with the simple aim of helping talented footballers make progress in their sporting careers whilst continuing with their academic studies.

The scheme enables young players to enjoy 6 hours of coaching by UEFA qualified coaches and competitive fixtures alongside their academic studies. Eastleigh FC have teams in the Conference Youth Alliance, Hampshire Youth League, Suburban Premier League as well as the prestigious FA Youth Cup.

The club have a history of producing young talented footballers; Brett Williams (Reading FC), Aaron Martin (Southampton FC), Will Aimson (Hull City) and Josh Helm (Swindon Town FC) have all gone to join football league clubs. The current first team squad has a host of young players who train full time with manager Richard Hill.

Richard Hill

Eastleigh Football Club are delighted to announce Richard Hill as their new first team manager, with immediate effect. Richard will be introduced to the players and staff tomorrow evening and will take charge of his first match on Saturday against Maidenhead. Richard is vastly experienced having managed Stevenage Borough and assisted John Gregory at both Wycombe and QPR, Brian Little at Aston Villa and also fulfilled the same roles at Gillingham, Tranmere Rovers and Northampton Town. It is a new era for the football club and we feel that in appointing Richard we have made the right choice. We are confident that he has all the attributes necessary to ensure the football club continues to develop and move forward in the correct manner.
