Charity Day – TSSC 10 Hour Treadmill Marathon

On Saturday 5th April 2014 members of The Spitfires Supporters Club will be holding a 10 hour treadmill marathon at Eastleigh Football Club.

We are hoping to reach a target of 50 miles in this time in a bid to raise money for a local Hampshire child bereavement charity called ‘Simon Says’. Simon Says’ aims to:

1. Support Hampshire children and young people up to the age of 18 years their families who have a close relative or friend who has died or is dying

2. Offer families information and strategies to move forward but never to forget

3. Provide written information and resources to bereaved children and their families

4. Run a telephone helpline

5. Host monthly support groups

6. Provide befriending and counselling as necessary

7. Support and give advice/training to teachers, doctors and other professionals working with bereaved children and young people
