Moore: N'Gala and Johnson will frighten any attack

Ronnie Moore comments on the signing of Bondz N'Gala and the prospect of Eastleigh's record signing playing alongside Reda Johnson in the heart of defence.

“They’re both big and strong. Reda’s just a bit taller, but Bondz is broader.

“If you’re a centre-forward they’re going to frighten the life out of you! They’ve got that aura about them.”

It is reported that the Spitfires spent £60,000 to capture the signature of N'Gala and Moore has praised chairman Stewart Donald for being allowed to make the signing.

“The chairman has done well to allow him in.

“If we want to get out of this league we’ve got to try and bring in better than we’ve already got and Bondz is in that category. He’s given up League football to come here. We need winners like him.

“Bondz has come here to play, not to sit on the bench, Connor’s done well, Reda’s available, Adam Dugdale’s only a week or so from being fit and we’ve got Ayo (Obileye) as well, so we’ll be back to five centre-halves. I have to make a decision who plays, but it’s nice to have those problems.”

On the goalkeeping situation, Moore has provided an update on Ryan Clarke's injury - (he is expected to be out for around 10-12 weeks), whilst praising his replacement - loan signing Scott Brown.



“Ryan pushed his arm out to make a save in training and the pressure of the ball caused a freak injury, it’s a good job we’ve got Browner in with a bit of League experience.

“He was confident in what he did at Aldershot, but it was a scrappy, horrible game.

“We go to Swindon and play like Barcelona, go to Gateshead and play like The Dog ‘n’ Duck and at Aldershot we dug deep to get a result.”

Eastleigh will be looking for back-to-back wins following the 1-0 victory in the Hampshire derby away at Aldershot.

The Spitfires take on Chester at home this afternoon.

Moore said: “We’re not thinking this is going to be a gimme.

"Chester are a lot better than last season. They’re nice and strong and athletic and we’ve got to be at our best."

Clash of the titans for Eastleigh?

EASTLEIGH boss Ronnie Moore is debating whether to pair one central defensive colossus with another at home to Chester on Saturday (3pm). New 6ft 2in powerhouse Bondz N'Gala is a shoo-in for selection after impressing on his debut in Tuesday's 1-0 win at Aldershot.
